Ben’s Bike Tours: Beers & Bikes

This is a fantastic way to get to know the city, with the best tour guide in town. This guided group bike ride takes place along trails, multi-use paths and city streets, at a comfortable pace. We’ll show you new infrastructure, popular commuter routes, upcoming projects, and share our vision of active transportation for the future of Sarnia. We know this small-group tour will change the way you experience cycling in our city and we are excited for you to join us!
After riding a leisurely 4.5km together, we arrive at Maud’s to meet the larger group, and cheers with one of the best craft beers from across Ontario’s industry leading breweries! Bring your own bike. We generally provide bikes on our tours but bring your own bike so you can leave Maud’s at your own leisure.

Slow Roll Sarnia
What is a Slow Roll? It’s a large group bike ride with a twist – the point is not to race but to relax with good company and enjoy a leisurely ride. Slow Rolls have become popular in cities across North America because the rides appeal to a diverse audience and do not require specialized equipment or training. Spandex can be left at home and everyone is welcome!
The Bluewater International Granfondo’s (BIG) Slow Roll is a large, free, and inclusive community 10km bike ride dedicated to contributing to the growth of bicycle culture in the Sarnia Lambton area. Founded by BIG and organized locally by volunteers, the goal is to further cycling not only as a health initiative, but also to help enhance Sarnia’s image as a cycling community.
The BIG Slow Roll is open to all regardless of age, experience, ability, or type of bike. With a slow pace and volunteer squad that keep riders safe and social, it is more than just a bike ride – it is a conduit for bringing people from all walks of life together and connecting our community.
The ride will feature a unique route infused with music from live musicians along the way. Starting in the old boat launch parking lot in Centennial Park on Harbour Road. Through Point Edward by way of Venetian, through Canatara Park. There will be one stop to regroup at Canatara Park before returning down Cathcart to Colborne and finally along Exmouth back to end at Paddy’s and Point Brewing Company for music and a post-ride BBQ.

BIG Bike Week
Riders can participate in a social media contest promoting community members to bike to school and work utilizing safe practices. Community members share a photo of themselves in their helmet, before or after, cycling to school or work to be entered into a draw to win prizes. Every tagged photo gets participants one entry into the draw.

Bike To School Week
Bike to School Week (B2SW) is a celebration of the journey to school by two (or three!) wheels that takes place every year during the last week of May.
